To all the parents—mothers, fathers, grandparents, siblings, extended family, foster families, adopted families, guardians, married, single, blended, coparents, and any other iteration of how you define your family:
Last week was Staff Appreciation, and yesterday we celebrates anyone who tends to skinned knees and kisses away tears, takes car trips while singing to the radio or promising to "turn this car around RIGHT NOW!" plans meals for the week or just orders takeout for the third night in a row. To those of you doing endless loads of laundry that may or may not get folded for, um, a while (ahem!), and those dealing with illness and other unexpecteds while trying to just get through another day. And to everyone thinking about the future while reminiscing about the past when our students were little and cute and nice (for all y'all not in the teenage years yet, just wait...)
To all the families in our little ECLC family, we wish you love and joy as you care for your students! Happy Mothers' Day, happy families day, and have a happy, lovely, springtime week!
